An ash cotswold school number 10 rocking chair designed by Ernest Gimson. This model of chair has been hand made by a direct lineage of chairmakers since Gimsons original design. This chair was probably made by Neville Neal who apprenticed under Ed Gardiner and whose son Lawrence and grandson Daniel still make these chairs today. This is a clean solid example whose original rush seat has been historically replaced with a shaker stye woven seat to which we have added a made to measure squab cushion in Morris fabric.
