Ernest Gimson ladder back armchair

A rush seated ladder back chair designed by Ernest Gimson. Ernest Gimson apprenticed under renowned chairmaker Philip Clissett and in turn trained a Lineage of makers who still hand make a range of Gimson and Clissett designs today. These chairs I believe to have been made by Neville Neal, probably in the 60s who studied under Ed Gardiner and whose grandson Daniel is the latest chair maker in the line. The frame is solid and rush in wonderful condition. Seat height 46cm
