A pair of oak rush seated chairs designed by Ernest Gimson. Ernest Gimson apprenticed under renowned chairmaker Philip Clissett and in turn trained a Lineage of makers who still hand make a range of Gimson and Clissett designs today. These chairs I believe to have been made by Neville Neal, probably in the 60s w ho studied under Ed Gardiner and whose grandson Daniel is the latest chairmaker in the line.
