Victorian Mahogany Library chair

A mahogany Victorian button backed library chair made by C&R Light and included in the Wymans 1877 publication "Designs and catalogue of cabinet making, upholstery and looking glasses". This chair is of fine quality and features an unusual galleried upper section raised on ornate turnings. This chair has had its original seat pad upholstery restored and we have covered it in an unused antique fabric we have been saving for the right chair to use it on. This has resulted in a very authentic looking fully restored period piece. Solid frame with minor scuffs and marks consistent with its age including some more pronounced cosmetic dents to one of its rear legs. Raised on its original ceramic casters with a seat height of 39cm.
